I’m looking for fics where Ben wakes up first in the Throne Room! >.<

In another world she might have woke first, but he woke with a gasp and looked for her. She was on her side, and still. The impact from the crystal in the saber breaking still was running its course through him, but he pushed himself up, and went to her. First he checked if she was breathing, and heaved a sigh in relief that she was. He pulled her to her back, and looked down at her. Before he could speak there was a hiss as the door opened and a race of panic went through him onto how to explain his actions.

Hux’s steps walked into the throne room and he looked around the room, still burning, and almost still as the grave it was made to be. He found Ren looming over the scavenger girl, and hunch over her protectively. It was evident what happened, and he drew his blaster intending to end this. In a sickening moment he was weightless, and then thrown to the ground, sliding so that he was nearly face to face with the corpse of Snoke. A moment later he was free, and pushed himself up and looked back to Ren frowning as pain went through him.

Rey woke, without a gasp or shudder and stared up at Kylo Ren. He wasn’t looking at her, instead holding himself up with one arm as the other was held out to something else. The force flowed out from the hand a moment longer then stopped, and he looked down at her. She couldn’t stop herself from cringing into herself and the sudden race of fear that entered her. Hux however, saved her from speaking.

“What,” Hux pushed himself up glaring to the two. “Happened?” he demanded. Ren stood taking a half step away from the girl. He looked around, and blinked as half the Supremacy floated away, Rey sat up, and looked around. She spotted a escape craft, the entrance partially hidden, but actually, almost ironically clearly indicated by a sign. Ren looked for something to say, and looked at Rey as she slowly stood by him.

“I killed Snoke.” Rey told them, Ren turned to her then Hux. She edged away from them, and looked down away from Ren.

Rey quickly looked around the room, only using her eyes, looking for anything she could use to get onto the escape craft and quickly get away, hoping that she could be on it, and not be fired upon. She cast a quick look to the view port, and found it thankfully empty, the Rebellion was on the planet, she sighed in relief.

Ren put a hand on her arm and she glared at him, but didn’t try to pull away. “Get all our forces down to that resistance base.” Ben snapped to Hux, the man took a step to the two. “Let’s finish this.” He felt her tense and grimaced at the thoughts he could sense in her head.

‘you ARE a monster’

“FINISH THIS?” Hux demanded. “who do you think you’re talking too?” Ren turned to Hux with a glare, Rey slipped from his grasp as his full attention was turned to Hux. “You presume to command MY army? The supreme leader is DEAD! We have no Leader!” He tried to gasp in a breath, but found he couldn’t and looked to Ren almost desperately to know what was happening as his airway completely constricted.

“The supreme leader is dead.” Ren told Hux as the man went to his knees.

“Long, live the supreme leader.” Hux forced out, and gasped in a breath when the force holding him stopped suddenly. Ren raced after Rey, and caught her just before she could slip into the now open hatch of the escape craft.

“LET ME GO!” she demanded to him.

“Rey, stop.” he replied, she stopped and looked towards the view-port quickly then back to him.

“If you let them go I will stay.” she told him quickly, freezing him still. “Let them go, leave them there, I… I will stay.” she added. “You can…” she bit her lip and he felt nauseated knowing exactly what she was about to say before she did so. “Please, I’ll give you anything.” the implication of that, and the thought that she had in her that he would be willing to take her on the offer was worse then almost anything he felt before.

He wanted to tell her that no, she didn’t have to, couldn’t think that way. “Rey, its time to let go.” he told her, she frowned at him, and then kicked him in the shin. He hissed in pain, but didn’t let her go as she then, threw a punch into his side. Hux briefly watched the fight, and then fired a single shot into the air freezing her.

“Are you done?” Hux asked Ren as he pulled her away from the Hatch, she struggled, then stilled as Hux rose the blaster to her.

“Let’s go.” Ren said simply, stilling holding onto her arm almost dragged her out of the throne room.

“Just kill me.” Rey told the both of them. Hux rolled his eyes.

“I can oblige her.” Hux stated, and almost immediately regretted the statement as Ren turned to him with a glare.

“Rey,” Ren stated, then paused, she pushed herself closer to him.

“Please, Please just let them go.” she asked him again. Hux as soon as he could fled the elevator leaving the two alone. “Please.” Ren stared at her.

“Rey, let it go, the rebellion, everything.” She drew away from him. “Let them die.”

“No.” He drew away from her. “You’re the one holding on. KYLO REN.” he gripped her arm tighter, and she winced in pain. “I told you, let them go I’ll do anything you want.” he frowned in distaste. “please.” she begged him. He ground his teeth together. “PLEASE.” she repeated.

He let go of her arm, and took a step outside the elevator. “Go and save your precious rebellion.” he told her, and with a quick motion snapped the doors shut. It took a moment, but the elevator quickly whisked her away, back to where she could, and would escape.

Rey froze as the elevator took her away, and briefly reached out to Ren in the force, to try to understand why he just let her go. She could feel the outright disgust at himself for even in the smallest amount consider the offer she made. He turned towards where she was, though she couldn’t see his surroundings. “I will save you too Ben.” she told him and he stilled in the throng of people escaping the crippled craft. “I will.” she repeated. He scowled at her.

“There is nothing to save.” he told her, and snapped the bond, leaving her alone as the elevator came to a halt back into the remains of the throne room.
